What is the meaning Am and Pm in time?

hi there, it is england terms


Am = its mean Antemeridiem (24.00 - 12.00)

Pm = Post meridiem (12.00-24.00)



when i write this post time shows 15.41, its mean 3.41 PM

why on earth times need to split to am and pm

why dont using 24 hours system, its more easy and simple
 
it is 2 ways to use the time-writing...
if you wanna say 15.45, so you say "fifteen fourty five"? no! it's ridiculous! we talk about English, ok?
we need "am" and "pm" to direct the time...
if it 15.45 so you say "three, fourty five pm" or "quater to four, pm" it's more simple, I think..

ahh so this why BULE need am and pm

they so bothersome about anything
 
yeah, that's why Indonesia didn't really need it...
we can said, "Pukul lima belas, tiga puluh" as normal as usually...
but in english, that's so ridiculous!
 
AM = 00.00 s/d 11.59
PM = 12.00 s/d 23.59

Di Amrik jam/waktu/pukul yg kita pake itu disebutnya "Military Time". Kalo utk rakyat sini pake 24 jam-an itu bisa bikin mereka binun.
 
AM means ante meridiem which is Latin for "before midday"
PM means post meridiem which is Latin for "after midday"

This timing system already been there from like long long time ago, around Egyptian era CMIIW.
Also even people in USA for example still using 24 hour system, especially people from military.
