Why we must can English?

Because it's a global languange. In the near future, we will enter to globalization era, where people from different countries will go and work to Indonesia. This language is important for us to compete as well as open a window of opportunity to get a better position and work abroad.

Sometimes to speak english, we always shy to speak english. we must have a courage to speak english. we must dare to fail, so we can speak english fluently.
 
Why is it that we must be able to speak English ?
Well, with English ability you will learn a lot more things, as most items on the net are in English...And, honestly, you will be easier to get a job, you know..

Is the title of this thread just for sarcastic or humor stuff? is the question really "Why we must can English?" or supposed to mean "Why we have to speak English?" or "Why we must speak English?"

Anyway, there are always many reasons why people speak English. Beside of the broader user and most notably the easies foreign language to learn. The invasion of English in our daily life is increasing by the blink of eye. Look around, at least you will find one or more words and phrases in English. Cinemas playing more English based movies compare to other.

Other than that, we studied while we are in Junior High School. So our early foreigner language was English. And especially nowadays where the kids are learning English much younger, despite of the easier way to have English teacher other than non English teacher (read: any other European languages)

Of course, there is no rule and "must" learn English. You may learn French or Germany if you wanted to study in that speaking country. But do not forget, even computer programs are mainly in English.

I do not believe that if we speak English than the Nation will gain respect more. What I believe is, English just like any other languages is to good to know and able to speak , but not essential when you don't need it.

Indonesian is strong country, by mean we no really need that every citizen have to speak English. But good if we are able for short and non formal conversation. Exceptionally if you are working in international environment, English is a must and other languages are plus.

I encouraging people to learn and speak English not to gain profit but to actually explore our capabilities.

For those who doesn't speak English yet not too worry,keep on learning.

I was confuse to when I read da title.. well, you know da post-starter is a elementary sch student, I guess,, so he doesn't know bout da grammar well.. (I'm sorry if I do.. hahaha..)

okay, why we have to speak English?
we know that English is the international language for many years agoooo...

English is relating us to another language,,
for example, Indonesian and Japanese,, they can't speak any single word in their partner language.. are they going to speak with body language? no.. it's so weird... =P
 
gue coba jawab pake bahasa indonesia aja ya.. soalnya ngeliat dari pertanyaannya, kayaknya dia lebih canggih bahasa indonesia daripada bahasa inggris. nanti kalo dijawab pake bahasa inggris malah gak nyambung lagi...
gak harus bisa bahasa inggris kok... siapa yang bilang gitu....cuma, karena bahasa inggris sudah terpilih dan diakui menjadi bahasa internasional, maka akan lebih membuka wawasan kita jika kita mampu berkomunikasi dalam bahasa internasional yang satu ini (baik verbal maupun non verbal). kalo kita nggak mau wawasan kita terbuka banget ya gak usah bisa juga nggak masalah, bagaimanapun juga, segala sesuatu adalah pilihan..
tapi saran gue sih, - karena elo udah mulai mau terbuka (terbukti dengan pertanyaan elo di sini...berarti elo mulai mau melihat ke dunia yang tdk mengenal batas batas teritorial geografis) -, emang akan lebih memudahkan buat elo kalo elo belajar bahasa inggris....

English is international language :D (everybody knoe tht)
At least the person who post the first threat dare to give his statement in English. We're studying by mistake....|:mad:|:mad:|:mad:

I dont understand this statement. Have u ever think to go abroad? I hv no sense on ppl who dont interest to learn English. I remember during my univ time whr most of the student coming from differ province....most of them dont put any interest to learn English....but you know wht happen after they get job, their company always send them for training in other country.
Yeah I believe life is abt how to choose the right way 4 u. Its up to u.....u want to be open minded or u want to be silly for the rest of your life.

First of all.... i haven't realized that in this every one should write in english in this forum yet when i wrot that reply....

i had my i'm sorry thread submitted (or maybe it's a reply to a thread..) to explain my above mistake..

the same goes to me....
but I've met several guys who continued their study abroad...and guess what..they can't use english as fluently as you...two of them can't speak english at all..
they use arabic, instead of english..
my grandpa can't speak english either.. he spoke dutch and german...(are you dare to say that he's not open minded and silly for the rest of his life?? i don't.....)

and above all this, abroad doesn't allways means english speaking countries.

i guess.. you just don't got my point, which is IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ENGLISH....IT COULD BE ANY LANGUAGE.......IT COULD BE JAPANEESE, TAGALOG, ARABIC, MANDARIN, HEBREW, HINDI, GREEK, DEUTCH, DUTCH, NORWAY, SPAIN............ANY..............LANGUANGE (S)...AND NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF....

and here i am, on my knees, begging to all of this thread's readers to forgive my sillyness of writing in this forum using Indonesian language which is i felt most fits for the guy who start this thread...never gonna happened again.....BIGGEST SORRY LADS!!!!:wink:
