I guess, it does not matter where or which langusge school / course you go to to learn English if you do not practice. But then, don't choose courses which only stuff you with theories of language.

agree; practices make a big improvement! Do not worry about our English too much, some of my America staff can't write perfect report, and always mistake in their english!

for me actually doesn't matter where but how is important. If you do not practicing than most likely you will left behind.

for subhanluffy... you no need to be "jago" but able to write or speak in you mind is important. This is not all about who doing it better but sharing in English. So why don't you start writing in English and let us know what do you have in your mind? Speak up!

Nasi uduk? is it like nasi lemak? for certain thing.. we no need to change. Food for me rather difficult to change, especially when the language we use doesn't have any specific words for that, but for sure we can use the almost closes one when we try to explain.

i.e. Nasi goreng(for Indonesian) in The Netherland and some places in Belgium will use the opriginal name rather than using "Fried Rice" as definition of Fried Rice not so right (I can't say wrong either)

Kerupuk (somes will says Keropok) is well known to be used in The Netherland menu.

so it is not necesary for me to changed.
I am also often used the words like SD, SMP,SMA (SMU now?) as slightly different meaning in English or any other foreign languages. i.e. Gymnasium school in Germany can be grammar school or non grammar school (do not asking me the different)

just fell comfortable with languages and you will understand better!

Re: Where is fastest english course? Dimana kursus bahasa inggris terc

It takes years of learning and practice to master in english completely!
No shortcut to be expert in english..need more exercis, need more practice & need more conscious effort...coz there is no accomplishment without motivation.
Please remember diligence is the root of success and laziness is the root of failure!
Just do study hard....coz I do believe that ...

Re: Where is fastest english course? Dimana kursus bahasa inggris terc

But I heard there is a small village in Pare (Kediri-Jawa Timur) and has been name as kampung inggris (please search in google about details coz I've never been there). You know why? Coz there are a lot of english school (course) on there and also majority of villagers can speak english and occupied by students who want to learn english serioulsly...
And also most of the courses have a boarding house which is english is official language and has to be used daily, so it will help student to learn & practice everytime..It's great I think..=b=
It could help someone who wants to learn english better & quicker...but one more...It needs time and your best effort...Good Luck!!!

whoa never heard of that..... maybe we all should have a look to that place?

it is true what u said earlier that it takes years to be a master..but do we really need to be a master in Englihs? as long as enopugh to speak and to say or also making a report I don't think master is such a requirement.

I agree when you said practice..practice..practice!

For Subhanluffy : eh i want tau languange english nya nasi uduk apaan sii?

Nasi uduk = In America "Nasi Uduk" also known as Indonesian Coconut Rice. :)

The best way to learn to converse English .... : not just learning all the theory, such as grammar, 16 tenses, etc..etc... is to have somebody you can speak with directly (either live conversation or even direct IM), preferrably native speaker, but people that live in the English speaking countries for quite a while are okay too..(like me...cieeee :) I've been here for 12 years now). But watch out for some countries that adopt / declare English as their national language...a BIG difference here. I'm speaking of countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Philipines. I didn't say that their vocabularies or grammars are bad, it's just the pronounciation of the words and accents that might confuse you for future use.

Hope this will help.

Food term, in America :

Kerupuk..... Fish Cracker, Shrimp cracker, Garlic cracker, Rice cracker...and more crackers. :)
Terasi : shrimp paste
Pete : stink bean...... I'm not kidding here. There's another name for that, but I forgot what it is. Mostly here if you mention Stink bean in anAsian Market, they'll know.

Anymore questions?

indonoodle, I understand that in United State of America, they tend to change the indigenous word and baptism in their English words. Which is not wrong and prefectly fine with me.

But actually I rather happy to read things in original.. if you said fish crackers for example; the different between what sort of "kerupuk ikan" we have and their fish crackers would be slightly different! I used restaurant menu as refferences.

Terasi: mmmm I like the aromas in my "sambal" Shrimp paste would be the closest word we could use..but do not forget Terasi is not always made from terasi..there are several types of "terasi" or I found out some says: shrimp puree... which one is correct?

It just an idea for us how to use the words... For me although my work of nature have to use english, but sometimes I mixed with local phrase!

I don't think there's any translation for empek2 kapal selem.. although it will be close to Fish cake or "Sub-shaped fish cake/dumpling".

For Gudeg, there's translation for that : Jackfruit Curry (that's what the Indo resto used here in States). Well... although it's not literally the right meaning, but it's close, because over here most stuffs made out of / contained coconut milk, will be called Curry.

What do you think guys?????
