The victims rejected the relocation plan. Instead, they demanded PT Lapindo Brantas to buy their houses, land, and other properties inundated by mud flowing from gas field operated by the company.
It was the latest effort of the mudflow victims to reject the relocation plan.
Representatives of the victims was accepted by councillors from the East Java Legislative Council, Elshinta news radio reported.
The Council supported mudflow victims, and called the East Java administration to back the plan of the mudflow victims to seek fair compensation for their inundated properties.
The gaping hole has spit out a large-scale torrent of hot, black mud, swallowing thousands of homes since May, last year. Twelve villages and 20 factories have been swallowed by the mud.
Some scientists suggest the rupture was triggered by improper drilling at a nearby natural gas site. Other research points to a major earthquake two days before the mud first appeared in a rice field in May 2006. (**)

I think it's not the Lapindo's fault at all, it's natural disaster that happened in Lapindo's area... so we can't blaming Lapindo as a guilty.
