Sutradara terkemuka Baz Luhrmann (Australia) memulai pengambilan gambar untuk adaptasi 3D dari The Great Gatsby minggu ini di Australia. Besutan Luhrmann ini bukanlah adaptasi pertama dari buah karya F. Scott Fitzgerald ini. Namun, sutradara yang pernah mengadaptasi karya Shakespeare dalam sebuah versi yang lebih modern ini berusaha untuk setia dengan novelnya.

Gatsby bukannya merk minyak rambut yang terkenal itu ya? apakah berhubungan dengan merk tersebut?

Kenapa mesti dibuat 3D, ya?? Useless.

Daku udah baca novelnya nih. Novelnya sih keren abis.
Dan juga udah nonton filmnya yang pernah dibuat sebelumnya pada tahun 1974.
Novel dan filmnya ini adalah literatur wajib saat daku kuliah dulu.

Film sebelumnya, yang tahun 74 itu, dibintangi oleh Robert Redford dan Mia Farrow, dengan penulis skripnya adalah Ford Coppola. Nggak terlalu bagus sih. Tapi semoga kali ini bisa lebih bagus dari yang dulu.

Kalau nggak salah juga pernah dibuat film televisi sekitar tahun 2000-an.

Nggak ada hubungannya sama sekali.
Gatsby di sini adalah nama tokoh fiktif yang jadi tokoh utama novel dan filmnya, namanya Jay Gatsby.
