)Album '21' Adele Terjual 5 Juta Kopi dalam Setahun
Jakarta - Tahun 2011 boleh dibilang sebagai salah satu masa kejayaan Adele. Album keduanya yang bertajuk '21' terjual sebanyak 5 juta kopi dalam kurun waktu setahun.
Angka tersebut boleh dibilang fantastis, karena musisi yang berhasil menjual albumnya sebanyak itu terakhir kali terjadi pada 2004 silam. Ia adalah Usher dengan album 'Confessions'.
"Pada 2004, kamu memiliki satu penjualan album yang melejit. Tahun ini kejadiannya sama, kamu memiliki satu sejarah besar yang semua orang membicarakannya," ujar David Bakula dan Nielsen Soundscan dilansir NME, Jumat (30/12/2011).
Data Nielsen Soundscan juga menyebutkan pada 2011 penjualan fisik album meningkat sebanyak 3 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Sementara penjualan digital menanjak 10 persen.
Sayangnya, penyanyi asal Inggris dengan nama lengkap Adele Laurie Blue Adkins itu tidak bisa menjaga prestasinya dengan baik. Adele harus absen dari dunia tarik suara untuk sementara karena sempat bermasalah dengan pita suaranya.
Tapi kini perempuan berusia 23 tahun tersebut sudah mulai latihan bernyanyi lagi. Ia juga beristirahat total dan menjauhkan diri dari rokok yang selama ini jadi teman yang tak pernah ia tinggalkan.
